Need advice on embroidery machine

I have been planning for a while to buy an embroidery machine and my DH and
DM both gave me money for Christmas to buy one. I have been looking at the
Janome MC 11000 and the Husqvarna Designer SE. I can't figure out why the
Husqvarna costs so much more. I found the Janome for $4999 with a cover-pro
coverstitch machine included free. The Holiday special on the Husqvarna is
$6199. Does anyone have any words of wisdom about these 2 machines. I may
also look at Pfaff. I am moving back to Norway in a year or so and thus need
a brand that can be serviced there as well.
With regards to customizing and digitizing, is it worth it to buy the
name-brand software or is Embird just as good?
