Does this software need a dongle that might be missing? If so, you are
out of luck.

That was my thought as well. I'm not familiar with PSW1.1,
but I have PSW 2.0a and it *does* require a dongle. In
addition, OP does not say what computer OS he/she uses, nor
what hardware he/she has, and it makes a difference.

My PSW requires serial connectors, but I had bought a new
notebook to use with it. I had to stand on my head and hold
my tongue just right in order to get the serial-to-USB
connection to work. I finally re-activated an older
computer with native serial ports, running XP, and now
everything works smoothly.

Hi again, Ok you have lost me...I have no Idea what a dongle is.Ok I
googled dongle and if I understand it is a cable?
My computer is running Windows xp. The psw is connected using a usb
converter.
I appreciate your answers. I need to find some place in my area that might
be able to assist me with it....Thanks again.

Your friendly, neighbourhood Singer dealer might be a good place to start.

A dongle is a security/anti-pirating device. I think most of the newer
ones look like a USB memory device.
