Ok what I am looking for is some sound good experienced advice. I intend on
buying a Tajima TEJT- C1501 but the software they sell is RB-8000
supposedly made by Pulse. Now I do not want any dumbed down software with
no upgrade path. So this is the question what would you buy? I am thinking
Corel Drawings Pro as I am very experienced in CorelDraw. I am open to any
good advice I do not want to farm out all my digitizing jobs I would rather
learn to digitize myself.

Ok I said I was serious about the Tajima what are your thoughts on maybe the
Toyota ESP9000 instead?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Steve,, get yourself subscribed to:
alt.binaries.crafts.pictures
..and repeat your post there. We have a "Corel expert" on
board who would soon advise you on that path.
Whatever your opinion on what constitutes "dumbed down", is... I am sure a
show/hide quoted text
limited. Well worth a visit, read the FAQ post for newcomers before posting
anything.

                cheers

Make sure the software will indeed talk to the machine for pattern
download. I currently own a Toyota 850 and it will only talk to one
piece of software. I believe the eprom was programmed for only one
software and passwords are required in the interface.

Wanna buy it?

John you have got to be kidding! I thought any software that could make a
.dst file would work with the Toyota and Tajima machines. If what you are
saying is true how would a person go about having a logo professionally
digitized and then having that file work on your machine? Are you sure
about what you are talking about or am I confused?

You are slightly confused. The software passes the machine a password
that is given when you pay for the software licence. I have 3
licences/passwords for the software installation, software running
with features, and to communicate with the machine. Other programs
will not communicate with the machine despite having that the Toyota
850 drivers. I suspect the machine has been "OEMed" to lock you into
their software only. This may not be typical of all Toyota machines.

This has nothing to do with pattern file reading. I can read any
format of pattern and transport it to the machine but it takes that
software to get it there.

I don't like the software that handles the machine so I use a
different piece (Willycalm) to digitize.
