There are other newsservers, which continue to provide "binaries"
newsgroups.

Their rates vary depending on your needs.

APN starts at US$2.95 per month
http://www.forteinc.com/apn/

Others include Easynews, Giganews, Newsguy, and many more.

http://www.giganews.com
http://www.newsguy.com

Teranews has a free level after a one-time #3.95 setup fee, but its
service has been erratic.

There's a free web-based newsserver that ONLY has mesages that have
attachments EXCEPT .rar attachments, which it doesn't post.

Hi JNJ,
Sonic-News has "alt.binaries.crafts.pictures"

Sonic-News provides 50MB per/day of downloads FREE.
And you can post 5 messages per/hour.

Newsserver : free.sonic-news.com
No username/password required.

I have been using sonic news but find at certain times it is impossible to
download due to to much traffic. From Europe, that time is in the evening
so I am assuming the server is in the US. WHen I try from here in the
morning (when the US is sleeping) I have less trouble.
