HI Guys,
Does anyone know of any needlework shows being held in the South
East? I just came from the Celebration of Needlework site and they
don't list a show in Louisville, KY -- just the Nashua show. My
stitchin' buddy, Janet, won't have any free time to go to any shows so
if I can find something it will have to be either close enough for a day
trip or be somewhere that DH won't mind going along. That, of course,
is assuming I can actually find something!
I Googled Needlework Shows, Classes, Seminars and any other option I
could think of and the only site that was really what I wanted was the
Celebration one! It's hard to believe that this is the ONLY needlework
"do" that offers classes and shopping in the whole country for the whole
year but that might be the case! The old CATS show has morphed into a
cruise which is in January and I don't want to be leaving home again so
soon after the holiday travels (or should that be travails -- LOL?).

Anywhoooo -- any info would be welcome. Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Come to Celebrations in Nashua, I'm sure I can find plenty of stuff for your
DH to do in the area. There is a new aviation museum....

The CATS Stitching Festival had it's last show in Hershey, PA in 2007.
In 2008, Marilyn Vredevelt (sp?) of Stoney Creek, started the
Stitching Jubilee. Last year it was held in Valley Forge, PA and the
2009 show will be held in Lancaster, PA.
The classes and registration info is not up on the website yet, but go
to www.stitchingjubilee.com for info.
The 2008 show was great fun and the vendors took a good chunk of my
money.
Marilyn just couldn't let the idea of the stitching festival die. When
CATS was started, there were something like 8 or 9 folks on the board
of directors. By 2007, there were only 2.
It's a shame that they moved it from Hershey, because the Hershey
Lodge and Convention Center was the ideal place to hold a stitching
show. What more could you ask for -- chocolate and stitching??????
I, personally, am hoping that they move it back to Hershey in 2010.
Hope this helps.
