Yeah, yeah. It rained most of the day on Sunday, and a bit yesterday. It's
still damp - but I'll be setting up the sprinklers tonight - finally.

It's so ucky here that our electric coop sent an e-mail to us requesting
that we set our thermostats to 82 during the 2-6 pm time, or turn off the
a.c., and "use fans to move the air." - for this week. As it's quite humid
out, and also I guess this is the week that they do the rating/pricing for
peak power usage surcharges - so if people try to minimize the demand it
will help us all with what we end up paying during the year. The fun of a
power cooperative. At work this morning I was talking about this with the
"regulars" that live in the hood.

Not yet...just *doing* a buncha stitching rather than tawking about it,
LOL! Still racing the clock to finish "And a Forest Grew" for the MD
state fair. I pre-ordered the frame, so it'll be in the shop and
hopefully they can pop it in with a shorter turnaround than if I'd
waited til the stitching was finished. BAsically, I stitch til I'm
crosseyed, then switch to crochet (a baby blanket for someone due in
October).

I bought "The Year of Wonders" on CD awhile ago, so I've started
listening to that at night as I stitch. Perfect summer evening fare -
INSIDE with the A/C, of course! (At least for this week.)

I admit, I haven't gotten much stitching done lately, but hope to do
some over the next week or so - both kids are off visiting
relatives.

I have to start on the one I promised my sister for Christmas!
Needlepoint - stitch suggestions welcomed! (I'll post a picture of
the canvas on RCTNP tonight. . .)

That was smart - getting the frame pre-ordered. Can't wait to see your
finished piece. I'm similarly cranking on all these stitching things.
Framer waiting for the 2nd piece - I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow or
Saturday.

Good idea. I moved the floorstand all the way downstairs, so now can watch
TV or listen to whatever. Was listening to "the Big Broadcast" on Sunday
night. I love that show (it's old time radio shows). And be surrounded by
much sewing stuff also calling my name. DH is actually kind of cracking the
whip at every chance with the "aren't you on a stitching marathon?" So, I'm
hoping that the anesthesia will wear off in a few hours (though I'm off
work/driving thru tomorrow) enough so I can stitch.

Well, enough from me else Sheena will say I'm abusing the dial-up members
again ;^)
