I believe we have
Stained Glass
Flower Boxes (sorry if I am confusing this with an different one by a
similar name)
These can be found at
http://www.rainbowgallery.com/freechartdownloads.cfm?ID=12
Summer Flower Boxes
GrandMa's Flower Garden
http://laurajperindesigns.tripod.com/id30.htm
Are there more nominations
- I need a volunteer to help with the counts.
And maybe Ellice will tell us which ones are suitable for easy color
conversions and rank beginners.

(who checked her stash and found she has lots of stretcher bars from doing
crewel pieces)

My very favorite is Winter Winds or Summer Breeze, but if you think they
might be a little more complicated then you think would be right I guess
I'll vote for Summer Flower boxes using a different color.
Grandma's Flower Garden is mostly satin stitch and I think it would be nice
to have at least one or two specialty stitches. I didn't look very
carefully so I may just be mixing them up, but I hope you get what I mean.
I would be delighted to help, especially if I knew what you meant by
counts??
Forgive me for being just a little fragmented this morning. I think I
better go and have that cup of coffee that's waiting for me.

I'll take a look at these. I agree with Lucille, and think you should
indulge in one of the patterns with 1 or 2 specialty stitches. The ones on
these patterns are all not difficult, just a little practice. I think it
would be more interesting for most of you. OTOH, I the intro canvas class
that the shop offers usually is a From Nancy's Needle Quilt pattern, which
like Grandma's Flower Garden is all satin stitch.
Anyhow, sometime today, I'll take a better look at these, and then post some
info about color conversions, likely cost for supplies, stitchability.
Also, in general, when offering multiple colorways for a piece, I usually do
a bright, a holiday, a neutral - soft, and a fall/earth tones. Would that
work?

This sounds like it's going to be a fun project. As said by Steve McQueen
in (something???) 7, It's nice when a plan comes together.
I'm on my way to drop off some old towels at our local Dogs & Cats Forever
shelter, and then off to BedBath&Beyond to buy some new sheets to go with my
new quilt.

Well, Verizon is screwing up my newsgroupd again! I hate having to use
Google. Oh well..that's the way it is. Lucille, we are having a
similar day. I bought a new quilt yesterday, and toiday have baked
three dozen cookies for a Cancer Fund-raising Bake & Craft Sale. I
donated a dozen or so knitted dishcloths a couple of days back, so my
good deeds are done for now. LOL
