I just got a couple new catalogs yesterday and they both list a new
floss from DMC called Light Effects. It is described as a 6-strand
metallic and I was wondering if it is similar to the existing line. The
color numbers seem to correspond to regular DMC cotton floss numbers
where applicable. There appear to be 36 colors in this line. If anyone
gets their hands on this stuff, please post a review.

I have a skein of a color called Jewel Effects, which seems very much
like the stiff scratchy metallics. Then there are the Fluorescent
Effects, which feel more like floss, and Pearlescent Effects, which are
also more stiff and scratchy. I haven't yet stitched with any of these.

I acquired them at Stitch in Time (Reno). Seanette and I snagged one of
each they had, which was about a dozen. Now I find there are 3 dozen.
Will have to scout out the rest. Weren't at LNS yesterday.
