Interesting. I am working to be not overwhelmed on the original design I
just found out I have to do and complete to submit by Aug 1 - along with a
ton of academic type stuff, and some illustrations, and stitch samples, for
my Master Teacher program. Tee hee - what fun. So, I've had a couple of
inspirations for the original piece - which isn't huge - only going to be
about 5X7 or 6X6, 6X7 - depending. With a min of 3 stitches (no tent except
for tiny details). So, I've been fondling an awful lot of threads,
metallics, - all kinds. And playing. But, the Whirlpool made me think of
this - as I'm doing something based on photos we took while Ice-climbing
(back when I was fit) on a glacier in Alaska. Lots of icey whites and
brilliant blue.
Ack.
Well, so much for calm. I've been on the phone with insurance companies, &
doctors' offices - so now I'm fried. Which is why I've been popping off
comments to RCTN - 'cause I can do this - with typos - while on hold
intermittently.
Maybe I'll even stitch tonight.

LOL - I promised Gillian I would do that. And, seriously, I was downstairs
in the stitching and stash mess area - and totally forgot to bring back up
the back with all the papers with everyone's lists. OTOH, I did find my
receipts from the shops - already up here in the office.
I'm actually semi-awake right now, as I finally took a shower and
de-coffee'd myself. DH should be home around 7 or so - depending on the
lovely DC traffic. But, I've been up since 4:31 - though I didn't get out
of bed 'til 4:41 - and was at work by 5 - thank goodness for nighttime
showers! So, chances are good I'll get neither stitching nor the bills out
tonight - but both this weekend. Not working at all - so I have some time -
kind of.

If you like Frank Lloyd Wright:
I ran across this site and love the charts - definitely going on my
wish list, particularly the needlepoint ones. . .

I have several of these charts, and they are lovely but I can only say,
count, count, count & count again. I have a lovely one that is a couple of
threads out and very challenging to try to compensate for it as the
geometric effect is very precise.
