Liam's Noah's Ark is finished as a wall hanging in time for his 1st
birthday tomorrow, YAHHHHH!!!!
Finished photos are posted in my photo album. I still have to give it a
light steaming. Quilting is not my best needlework though.

Yes! Clever you for noticing! The cockies have been *really* active the
last few days. We've had lots of intermittent rain and the soil
creatures make their way up out of the ground to escape drowning. I
think the cockies are making a meal of all those worms and things!
They're *so* loud! If the flock's right over the house, you can't hear
your own voice with their screeching and flapping. Needless to say, we
always rush out to watch them in their progress. They're so beautiful, I
never get sick of them.

The other day, I heard the birds outside going ballistic and rushed out
just in time to see three pee-wees, a magpie and a flock of noisy miners
mobbing up a *goshawk* as it flew just above the houses! I can't
imagine what brought it over our way, but it was a beauty: all
brown-barred on its front and flapping laboriously to get away from the
unwelcoming committee. ROTFL! I was so pleased to see such an unusual
and gorgeous bird, I did a bijou happy dance in the middle of the back
yard - just as a group of walkers passed by the back fence and saw me
capering round in a circle. Sigh. Isn't it a shame how ready people are
to make snap judgements about each other? I could see the pitying looks
on these folks' faces and just *knew* they thought I was having an
'episode' of some sort. Sigh again. I'm not mad! Really, I'm not!
