My daughter has just started making handstitched boxes, after our latest
Craft Guild working evening at our home - our friend Cynthia has really
started something!
Anyway, I found this super book with loads of ideas and instructions and
thought some of you might be interested - just click on this link (sorry
it`s such a long one, but it will give you a picture of the book).

At least we have found a home for all the matt-board offcuts - Jane took
them all home with her. You can use thinner card than that, of course.

Further to my first post - there are several of them for sale on Ebay right
now - in America, that is.

These are so pretty. In 2005, "Just CrossStitch" magazine had a series
on a small needlework box done up with pulled and drawn threadwork and
different specialty stitches. It's in my *to-do* wish list.

I`m very lucky that Jane loves doing the same things that I loved to do when
I had both hands working - so I only have to put it in her mind, and she`s
off! At least I can help out with embroidery to a certain extent. Poor
John is swamped with stuff that needs framing, from both of us, at the
moment!
