I think many of us were having a bad day yesterday lol In an effort
to clean my huge living room windows I somehow got locked out on to my
balcony and had to call upon a passing stranger to come up and let me
back in ! An hour in the very cold wind seeing the cat watch me from
inside. Someone else here had a bad day too, so you are not alone.

Lol, as alright as I ever am ! When going out my cell phone was
lying on the kitchen counter and the thought popped through my mind,
take that with you, but went straight out the other side.

He was a very nice man, no trace of 'stupid woman' in his attitude,
coming to visit his mum in this building. In fact he called back
about an hour later to tell me he had played with the door on his
mothers balcony and found a way to trick it with the lock so that
could not happen again. I must remember to pass that round at the
next meeting.

Good idea!

I make sure one door is unlocked when I go outside to work in the garden if
not more than one.

DS locked himself in the basement and me out when he was 3 when he was
scared by a snake. I had to shimmy in through a basement window, AFTER I
broke it.

That reminds me of my younger daughter who had a little son who locked
us out on the sun deck at Shad Bay. He was just fiddling - on the
inside - with the lock. The deck was about 12 foot off the ground,
also located on ground falling away to the sea and after ten minutes
of trying to talk him into unlocking it again SHE was the one who had
to shimmy down one of the supports. I was just the granny and it was
HER son lol
