Two years ago, my mother passed away, and I am just now ready to
dispose of all of her doll making supplies. I have no idea how to even
start. I am in Alaska, and her things are in storage on the Oregon
coast. I will go down there when I have an idea what I am going to do
to get her things to someone that can use them. I know that she has a
few molds, some porcelain powder, paints, brushes, books, doll parts
and there was even some dolls in greenware. There are some dolls that
are in various stages of progress. Any of her finished work has been
sold or given to her grandchildren. If anyone can give me an idea of
how to start on this project, I would sure be grateful for the
information. By the time that my mother passed, the people that she
worked with and took classes with had all moved away so I haven't any
connections to those people , which would have been the logical place
to start. Thank you Kkimberley

I would pick up a Doll magazine - there are several. You may find an
advertisement from a firm close by. That's how I located a place that
makes, teaches about, and fixes porcelain dolls. Even if it's a
distant source, you could call and ask how best to handle this. They
might have just the answer you're looking for. I'd call several.
Best of luck to you. I'm sorry to hear you lost your mother.

Any doll hospitals near you? Or go to a local craft show and offer the
stuff to a doll seller?

Have you thought of putting lots on e-bay?

ebay. Take pictures, describe what you can and sell it in a lot. Good
luck with things.
