A thousand miles? I do hope it is cooler there. We had a cold snap
yesterday with the temperature dropping to 96°. Polly

Oh, definitely cooler - I just checked and Map Quest says we are
actually 1419 driving miles from our place to New Orleans.

I'm in Picton, Ontario on the north side of Lake Ontario.

It's only 64 F here right now. That is cool for this time of the year,
but we've been having rain the last couple of days.

Welcome Polly. Just be prepared -- we are a bit more boisterous over
here in Needlework than the fine people in Quilting :-). Either way, I
can guarantee that the folks here will LOVE to be regaled by stories of

Thank you, Mary. I did notice when one of you declared that a staircase was
an appropriate chew toy for an 8 month-old puppy. Polly

Welcome, Polly. I thought I 'recognized' you from RCTQ. I onlyl urk over
there, as I seldom have anything to contribute by way of quilt topics, and
occasionally butt in here with comments or silliness, as these nice people
kindly put up with me. You'll enjoy it here, I am sure.
Regards,
Carey in MA
