Did you ever get pictures of it done in any of the other colorways? I
would love to see some of them, espeically the chili!

I believe that the other stitchers have pictures, and I'm supposed to get
them to send to Laura as well. I'll try to do it soon. Not to mention my
own.

The Mirror, Mirror sampler that is a gift. I need it framed and ready
to mail around September 15th.

Also Amybear's Night Flight - http://tinyurl.com/n5prg3.

A friend has let me borrow her System 4 Needlework stand and her
Lowery stand so I can evaluate and see which one I like better. So
I've been moving through several projects trying out different scroll
frames, etc. I'm thinking the System 4 works for me, but I'm not
finished playing yet.

I'm stitching away on Leisure Arts Romeo & Chicks - I just love it -
it jumped right out of my stash and begged me to start it. :-)

I replied to Cheryl individually instead of the group. (Sorry Cheryl.) Here
is my response:
You asked: What are you stitching?

One of my more ambitious projects: Scarlet Quince's large reproduction of
Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Figure it will take a little over 2 years doing
about 1-2 hours a day. It is truly beautiful. With 83 color blends, it was
beginning to drive me crazy until I got 2 of those Pako Needle Organizers so
that I can keep each needle threaded and ready for use. It is so much
easier that way. (I had tried the method of stitching and then "dangling"
the needle and picking up another color, but got all tangled up.) And of
course good lighting -- I use an old Dazor floor lamp that has a rectangular
magnifier lens, with an Ott Lite bulb. I've been "testing" thimbles but so
far have rejected the metal ones, even the open one which is too bulky for
me. The little leather finger pads are okay but I'm still not happy with
the bulk of them. I had thought that I ordered the leather thimble from a
website, but never got confirmation and haven't received it so will probably
just not order it (again?). Beginning to think a band-aid is the best
thimble. I am also using the medium sized Q-Snaps, size 28 needles, and 18
count gray-ish Aida with 2 strands of DMC over 2, which is covering the
cloth perfectly. I think somewhere along the way I'll take a break and do
some simple, small projects like ornaments for the holidays. I don't like to
do 2 different things at a time, but this project does call for taking a
break!
