I will have to inform Publix! I LOVE marzipan, amaretto etc.
However this WAS sinfully good, and reminded me of some of those
wonderful pastry shops in Innsbruck!! Of course I was in my VERY early
20s then, and could eat everything and never gain weight. Sadly, that
changed.

That;s one of the things I miss about living here. No good bakeries at
all. There are a couple of bakeries that call themselves Italian, but they
aren't very good.
Publix is okay for bread, pies and doughnuts, but in IMO not so great on
cake. Albertson's is much worse, Winn Dixie I never get to and that's all
there is.

Ah, Lucille - but you know if you just drove south a bit to Boca there are
some fine bakeries there for all the transplants!

A bit south to Boca is an approximately 2 hour trip, provided I-95 has no
tie ups, which would be a miracle.
It hardly seems worth it for a piece of cake.
