I've just spent some time reporting the spam.
Tired of this crap...

I know it's not always possible, but try to find a dedicated newsreader
where you can build filters and killfiles. I haven't seen any of the
nonsense. One of my other favourite newsgroup is having a lot of trolls
right now, and they are all getting killfiled.
Apparently, you can do filters on Goggle, it's a little more
complicated. Let me see - ah, yes, here are the links. These are
courtesy of another poster (kittent) from another newsgroup I inhabit.
Google Groups Killfile / Filter
Google Groups Killfile (works with Firefox + Greasemonkey):

Replying to my own post.
It's actually the same idiot - using other people's addresses to post.

I use a filter which includes <<< or >>> since he always includes those
characters. I don't see any of his stuff.
Complaining to Goggle isn't going to do a lot in this case since he is
morphing his address all the time. Maybe they can use the actual return
path, or the website name.

I believe by various means they work through his/her ISP number. That
can be tracked ultimately because even remailers don't allow spamming
like this.

I just want to say that since I reported the spam the other day, I
have seen no more. I will continue to do this reporting.
Maybe it's just a coincidence. But it made me feel better.
