Hey all, sorry for the late notice, but, I'm a slacker.
Sue H., whose been offline for a couple of days (away) pinged me to maybe
post something about our "RCTN" outing tomorrow, Friday, 12/29. So here it
is.
Some of us local types are hooking up at the Stitching Post in Catonsville,
MD for some S.E.X. At their sale. Following with a gabfest at lunch. And,
of course, some show and tell (I'm going to let everyone laugh at the
amazingly messy back of my Summer Garden Sampler).
We're attempting to meet at the Stitching Post around 10:15. Given the DC
traffic - it's a possibility. The enablers and enabling are:
Ericka K, Donna and me (ellice) from VA, meeting up with Sue H. and Sue W.
from MD. So, I know that Liz had noted she can't make it. Anyone else
(Anne T?) interested - we're happy to see all comers.
Oh, for info the Stitching Post website is:
http://www.the-stitching-post.com/
Got to "about" and there are directions.
And for the Virginians, if we're really lucky, we'll hit Stitchin' Pretty on
the Way home.

That was great fun yesterday. Always nice to put faces and names
together. We had a show and tell after lunch, which was terrific (both
the show and tell and the lunch). Yeah for such talented stitchers!
And now onto my additions to the stash.
two pieces of weaver's cloth for punch needle
a fat quarter of 32 ct Glenshee
a short piece of linen banding with evergreen trees woven into the
edging
a very small frame for my current silk gauze project
a Stitch and Zip needlepoint purse kit - which I already started -
purpose to hold my new Nintendo DS Lite
The Workbasket's "A Stitch in Time" with the saying "a stitch in time
saves my mind"
Little House Needleworks - "Ye Olde Coffee House"
and
By the Bay Needleart's - "White Pumpkin Patch"

Ummm - I think that I left the phone in the car while shopping, and then in
the restaurant had it on buzz... Sorry. Next time!
Ellice - who has to e-mail the group our picture that the evidently
shakey-handed waitress took

Yes, it was a lovely outing! Stash-wise, I was a good girl: limited
myself to one Brittercup chart, and added a set of Q-snaps to try (I
usually stitch in hand, but sometimes a hoop or frame can be useful) and
a fat half yard of 36-count linen on which to do "And a Forest Grew" --
eventually! Maybe by summer I'll get that one started! First some other
WIPs to complete.
It was lovely to meet the "other" Susan in Maryland and the Virginia
contingent and find so many common points of interest in addition to
needlework!
