Well, it's been a busy day and gratefully, I don't have to leave the house
again.
First, DD outgrew her most recent "nice top", in a record 6 weeks. And all
her bottoms now have holes in the knees. And well, no "nicer" shoes. And we
are expected at my folks for family dinner at a nice restaurant Sunday.
Found a shirt she liked Friday night, but no shoes and no slacks, jeans,
what have you.
So this AM, we were at the mall at 9:55 and waiting at Old Navy at 9:59.
Power shopped for jeans (only place we can find a pair that fits and she
likes and the dark ones will pass for slacks.)
Next stop is the discount shoe store - one pair a slip on's with a small
wedge.
Run home, because it was the day of her first lacrosse game - with an hour
plus ride out to UNH at Durham. And it was raining - sometimes misty, some
times a steady rain.
So, here I am, shopped out, damp and tired but quite proud of DD. She and
her team mates had a great game and won.

Ain't it good to be a MOM??
I just got through a phone call to the Ale House in Orange Park, nr Jax,
setting up a LUNCH .I hope it works out with a merger of Jim's and my
families. The nicer faction of his I have to say.
Tell Elise all her Mom's friends are proud of her...we may have to make
her the RCTN mascot!

She'd be so embarrassed. Which is good for you sometimes.

Sounds exhausting, but what we do for love.
Congraluate her on her win, have a nice relaxing dinner tomorrow and just
veg out.
You have to make yourself enjoy days like these and they will make for fond
memories when she's all grown up.

The shopping was worse than the standing in the rain.

I will. And I need to buy one of those huge "golf" umbrellas. The folding
lawn/camp chairs we have.
