First - I have a long, uphill, slightly curved driveway.
Second - I have a 50 gallon rolling trash can. (I never fill it, but the
price was right)
This AM, being trash day, DD found a new "thrill". Roller blades and helmet
on, she'd hold the handle of the trash can and roll down hill and see just
how far she'd coast toward the cul-de-sac. Pull the can back up hill and do
it again. I stopped worrying when I saw how much control she had and just
laughed.

What fun - hopefully, she also put on her knee pads! And while likely
smellier, possibly better than skating the nets around a rink. The task my
coach would give when he really wanted you to work on leg strength and
stride - skate the net around and around and around.... Brutal at the end of
a long practice. But, rewarding when it finally gets to be "fun" .

That she could pull it back up the hill is what tells me those are strong
thigh muscles.

It sounds like fun !! My neighbors had a yellow lab that used to race down
the middle of our street pulling his boys on skates behind him. There was
just one problem. He absolutely refused to move over so a car could pass
our narrow, one way street. Fortunately no one got out and strangled the
group of two boys and one great dog.

ROTFL! Gotta love the ideas kids have!
When my sister and I and our kids moved into our shared rental house,
there was an old plastic-covered mattress left behind by a former
tenant. While the Ugly Sister and I were busy carting stuff into rooms
and getting organised etc, the kids came up with a devilish plan. Ugly
and I rounded the corner to the front door just in time to see the
mattress, containing Matt and Tease and Jack and the baby Timmy come
flying down the stairs and out the door! We gaped!
Then we gaped at each other. Then the Ugly Sister said 'Come on!' and we
seized the mattress, hoicked it up the stairs to the first landing and
slid down together. Much time was wasted sliding down the staircase that
first day...
