Headed out this morning to get my cast removed. Surgeon gave me a
referral for physio to start next week. Hand looks fairly good although
the fingers are still quite stiff (no surprise there). (Lots of scaly,
flaky skin - perfect for Halloween) Doc told me to be careful since the
hand is definitely not completely healed as yet.
Then after lunch I had an appointment with the local volunteer
co-ordinating office (for both Hastings and Prince Edward County). I'm
going to be working with the Archives and Collections Society
http://www.aandc.org/ It's database entry using Excel - right up my
alley, and only a ten minute walk from the house!
Got home and spent a lovely hour planting bulbs -30 mixed daffs,
Snowdrops (galanthus), mini-Iris (reticulata) and Winter Aconite. I
still have about 10 daffs and a Foxtail (eranthus) to put into the beds
at the back of the house, but I need to move some lilies first. So that
will be tomorrow's job.
The fact that I can type (and stitch) again with both hands is a bonus!

Huzzah. No cast, interesting work and garden and stitching time. Great day
all around!
Not a great garden day here and I won't get a real chance to hit the garden
until Monday.

> Great news! I wish for you full range of motion as quickly as possible.
I haven't been able to do much sewing until today because of some serious
cramping issues in my hands and I know how much I missed being able to do
that.
Isn't it nice to be able to get back to what we want to do.

Happy day, Marg! Just the best feeling having that cast come off, and
then...getting rid of that itchy skin. Great that you can start physio next
week.

This sounds interesting - and convenient.

Wow - you waste no time! I'm jealous that you got bulbs in. It's been
raining pretty steadily here, so I'm hoping to be able to do it sometime
during the week. We have to pull 2 dead tress - one small, one about 10',
5" caliper cryptomeria, so DH says I'm not supposed to do more planting
until we decide with those... But I do have a flower bed that has been cut,
just needs the weeds pulled and amending to be planted.
Glad you're getting to do some things you enjoy and healing well.
