Most of the evacuees should have phone access. Those who are sheltered
at the Astrodome have their own ZIP code and a ticket window is now
operated by the postal service.

Those who are sheltered in Dallas/Fort Worth have free local and long
distance phone service for the next three months. SBC just installed 500
phones and 500 computers with high speed internet service.

Ps i forgot to add matches and candles , if you can`t put a handlamp
with batteries ...

Many shelters will not allow open flames. Flashlights and batteries are
a good idea though. Small toys/games for children too.
