I am very interested in what is going on in Northern Israel and
Southern Lebanon at the moment, and I am not sure how accurate the reports
are that I see on TV. What I would like to be appraised of, on a daily
basis, is the number of Katyushia rockets landing in Northern
Israel. Yesterday we were told three. Then there was a report that
the number was actually zero; the three were mortar rounds. Would you be
willing, Mirjam, to keep us up to date with these figures? I suspect
others are interested as well. TIA.

Well James , i hope you have had your curiousity satisfied we had over
200 rockets yesterday ,,, with a person who died and wounded ,,,
you still think it is important for you , to know the exact count.
I am not sure you ever heard a Katjusha fly over your head? believe
me you if you hear it once , you will never forget it.
I found it curious that you think the amount of Katjushas sent is any
indication for success ,,, The Bloody death flying machine can be sent
from a small launcher , not bigger than a pipe ,,,
It never stops amazing me the amount of energy people put into
`inventing` weapons.
The other day i read an article by Shevach Wise, ex Knesset
[parlement] Head , ex Israeli Ambasador to Poland ,, he spoke about
the Various changing meanings of Katjushas in his life ,,,
When he was hidden as a kid in a cellar in Poland, hiding from the
Nazies , he Thought the Russian Katjushas were Saving him .
Later when The north was bombarded with them while his daughter was in
the north He started seeing them as dangerous , now he sees them as
Killing machines ,,,

Unless she has inside access to government information, I`d thinbk it
extremely unlikely that poor Mirjam would have any more knowledge of the
armaments landing all around her than would the rest of us, Jim! She might
be able to count the bangs, buit she`d hardly know what made them!
