While I've read a lot lately, (being too stressed to craft in any way shape
or form) but there only a few outstanding books.
First Poison Study (Maria Snyder - fantasy). Young woman, about to be hanged
for murder becomes the Commander's latest food tester. OH WOW, what a great
world. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the next book - Magic Study.
Archangel (Sharon Shinn - fantasy). Is it the Biblical Lands recreated as
fantasy? Another world, created in it's image? I can't tell, but I'll read
more of the series. I also like her 12 Houses series.
Angry Wives Eating Bon Bons. (Lorna Landvik - chick lit) Ok - I rarely read
chick lit, but this story of neighbors, friends and their 30 years of book
club is a great read. I'll actually go read other things of hers.

I read Angry Housewives this summer, and really did enjoy it. I haven't
read any of the others though -- when I go to buy one, the synopses just
don't sound as interesting.
For those who have read her books, what would you recommend as the best one?
