If it looks like hair wraps then it's wrapped around more floss. You
start with, say, three strands in different colors (A, B, C). Double
them, giving you six strands. Begin working with A, wrapping it around
the two strands of B and two strands of C. When you want to change to B
then lay the stands of A into the core with C and lift B out and begin
wrapping with it.
It's really just hair wraps without hair.
