Still, it's a step in developing something less destructive. Whether
there is global warming or not, the cookie has to crumble. They are
building wind farms out at sea, more expensive but out of the way.
They are also experimenting with roller-like things placed on the
ocean floor where the Fundy tides rushing in and out over them will
generate power.

There is to be a large wind farm built on the Tantramar marshes, far
from homes. Have to admit, the windmills fascinate me, I must have at
the very least 500 or so pics of the stupid things lol

There is certainly lots of potential for wind farms here on the prairies. I
also would like to see them developed, and we have lots of open space away
from people.
SaskPower was running an experimental project to convert waste from hog
operations to power--the former president loved to lead reporters into
asking him about "pig poop power".
