On how to re-purpose old sleeping bags...holes worn in the flannel inside
and the outer fabric. If I was still camping, I'd mend them. But I'm not.
And they're taking up room in my basement that I could really use.
I've emailed the local animal shelters, but no response.

How about donating them to the scouts, to a homeless shelter, to the
Salvation Army or GoodWill, or a church sale?

There used to be some kind of project that collected these things to
make blankets for the homeless that wouldn't come in - they were
pieced together from this that and the other. I wonder if it still
exists?

I think don't know "who takes what" anymore. Sanitary laws vary by state,
used to be you could donate used bedlinens and blankets in NH to charity,
but now only the local thrift stores take them, maybe...
