In my newest work , i work with letters [words] . but since the work
`leans` on an ancient tradition, i decided that the letters themselves
`must be` or `create` the form. This makes for long thinking times and
playing with the letters /words . But slowly they `sort of Do it` on
their own....
Of course it helps that i know the Rules that lead tradional works
like this. Than it helps that i love using letters and words in many
of my works, By this following a long Jewish tradition, and last not
least a long Family tradition/inhertance , part of which i wasn`t
aware of at all. And only in the last years i learned that My
maternal family was also into Textile making, in many ways.
Thus using letters to convey a form,. is a pleasure, a mental
excercize, and it feels lovely to go in the footsteps of my unknown
ancesstors.
