OK - will accept that, but, hey, I need some excuse.

Good for you. I still haven't stuck needle to fabric, so to speak. But, I
did on Sunday play paper-dolls with laying out my "Quaker Challenge" piece.
And in a fit of stubborness, and potential stupidity - I'm making this thing
fit on a piece of fabric with a small border - theory being I'll be using it
as an insert on a soft finish of some sort. Uh huh. Sure. DH said "you
could sew some strips on the narrow edge." He has been around way too much
of my stitching, and seeing me/Cindy doing framing....

Diverting slightly from the topic:
A well known VIP visitor and his wife arrives very late at night at a
Royal Air Force station in England. Anxious to be hospitable the VIP and
his wife are asked if they would like anything - he wants a cup of tea ,
she just says "I'll have a cake".
Tea was no problem - but where do you get a cake after midnight? After
much rushing around a very sorry looking Lemon Drizzle cake is found and
presented to Mrs VIP.
"No" she says (imagine a very plummy accent here) "I wanted a Cakea-Cola".
