My mother (honestly not me, my mother) has made a mistake with her
cross stitch - she's started the design in the wrong place.
Basically, she'll run out of room as she progresses towards one of the
edges.
Can you get another piece of fabric and kind of stick it next to the
existing edge to make one edge bigger, so you can then fit in the rest
of the edge of the pattern in?
Has anyone ever done this with reasonable results? Any tips/advice
gratefully received.
Thanks a lot, best regards from Robert.

Yes Robert i have Added cloth, to enlarge an embroidery, although my
mistake was different. { when i started to create that piece i didn`t
realize i will make so long ,,
I bought the same kind of Canvass , than laid it so that about 6-7 cm
Overlapped each other, i than used A basting stitch to keep them close
togeher thah i made several rows of xst [from my intended pattern]
through BOTH canvases , than later i could cut out the unused
edges ,,,
BEST of luck , it needs patience , but it CAN BE DONE

However, added fabric will show if you have a pattern that shows the
background fabric. If the pattern completely covers the fabric, then
the seam will not be as visible.
