There was an ad in Piecework for this exhibit in western
Massachusetts...and the web page has lovely photos. Fashion through the
years on miniature figurines. Lovely stuff:

And if anyone ventures forth to see this exhibit, don't forget to
visit Edith Wharton's home, the Mount, also in Lennox. She designed
it. And she also wrote a classic book on interior design.

I read an article about this some years ago and fell in love with the
pictures shown. It is always what I wanted to do and never followed
through. Thank you so very much for this link!! I'm sharing it with my
embroidery friends.
