If you think there's 2 months you're delusional. There's hardly one month.
*I* resist but lots of folks decorate their trees and start Christmas
parties the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Of course, this is as good a place as any to mention that the Annual
Awful Christmas Joke event will be coming soon. =) Polly

No -- Friday after Thanksgiving is way too late. Christmas starts
at 6:00 PM Thanksgiving evening. My inside isn't decorated but the
outside is and the lights go on at 6:00 PM -- lights, snowmen, reindeer,
Santa with sleigh, inflatable Christmas Tree, inflatable snow globe the
8 foot tall inflatable Toy Soldiers that flank the driveway entrance.
This is in addition to the 3 foot tall candy canes that line the
driveway and the walkway up to the front door from which strings of
clear twinkle lights are strung :-).
It will be the following Friday or Saturday before I go out and put
the lighted garland on the front porch, decorate the front door and
rocking chairs, fill the little wagons on either side of the door with
pine & holly and poinsettias, etc. Of course, the artificial white tree
that stands in the front living room window will be ready for lighting
and display on Thanksgiving evening along with the lighted white pine
garland that trims the window, arched living room entry and inside the
front door. And that's just the quick and EASY stuff -- LOLOL!
