Sorry, I agree w/ Butterfly and Polly. Xmas here doesn't happen until
about 2 weeks prior to Christmas - depending on weather for outside
stuff. Xmas tree usually goes up the weekend before Xmas depending
on timing. We do a 'holiday' open house the Friday before Christmas
so the tree needs to be up & decorated for that. Anyone here in the
neighborhood is more than welcome. As DH says, no one is invited -
all are welcome. DH & I are balloon pilots/captains in the NY Macy's
Thanksgiving Day parade so we are toast on Thanksgiving. No
decorating then. We're lucky we don't fall asleep in the mashed
potatoes at our freinds house that afternoon for dinner!

YEs, Ma, I know...and between now and then the following must be
accomplished (at least in my house):
2 day craft fair,
2 quilts for a friend's children and bumper pads, dust ruffle for the
littlest of her children - need to verify that she still needs/wants
these,
go through the lists *my* children made and see what we will actually
be getting them, and order everything,
get things organized for Thanksgiving - we are having DDs boxing coach
over as he also moved here with no family to share holidays with,
clean the workroom and prioritize projects for next year,
figure out what to get DH for Christmas,
drop not-so-subtle hints about what I want for my birthday
figure out how to be surprised if they actually manage to do anything
for my birthday
get through various end-of-the-year doc appointments.......
So, Christmas isn't really taking too much of my thinking time right
now...I'll gladly hand over some of my responsibilities to someone
else if anyone wants to step up and volunteer.......
