Hi all. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I have been really looking forward to this holiday, as it should give me 4
days off in a row! I haven't been near my machine at home in months. ( I did
take it to a sew-in where we made tote bags for a Christmas Craft sale with
proceeds to a charity)
The last quilty thing I did was 2 baby quilts for grandbabies that were born
last spring. We also had a 3rd grandbaby who is still waiting for her quilt
from Grama!
As some of you may remember, I work a contract for the local Post Office,
which takes me a couple of hours in the mornings, and then we have a
knifemaker's supply business that we run from our home. Apparently, word has
gotten out about our home based business and it has kept me pretty busy,
well into the evenings.
I've spent most of today getting my house tidied up. We had a customer at
the house at 9:30 this morning and have had a phone call from another one
who will be here tomorrow morning. Maybe after that I'll get time to escape
to my sewing room.
So, now my 4 days are looking more like 2.5 and one of those is Christmas
day, where even though it will just be the 2 of us, I still plan on cooking
Turkey! So, that leaves maybe 1.5???
Merry Christmas to all!
I'm going to pick out some fabric to play with now :)

LOL, I can relate! Three days off, but a house to clean, disks to burn,
Mom's A/V problems to fix, leaves to rake, movies to copy to DVD, Christmas
gathering and company.....somehow I think my quilting time will shrivel down
to a half-day today. But it's better than nothing! Have a lovely holiday,
Marilyn!

That's the trouble with home based working: the customers think you
don't need any time off because you're at home anyway!

But, but , but you can FIND your SM..mine is buried really buried and we set
it in the corner of our bedroom so it would be EASY to get too. No, I'm NOT
complaining cause our flooring is DONE as of last night
YAYAYYAYAYAYYAYYYYYYY!!!!!!! And it's GORGEOUS and the fellas really were
meticulous and you can't even see the strips where the carpet linoleum meet
:) The neighbor teen (that has been a HUGE help) said he thought it was
REAL WOOD!!!!!!! Made our day :)
Anyway, SIL is here, and she BROUGHT FABRIC so I could fondle whilst
relaxing... got the washer/dryer/stove/dining table back in place last
night. Today the fridge goes back. Washer/dryer/table will have to be moved
once again when the painters come in Jan--but they can do it then...part of
their contract.

Won't have a 'tree' but will have a small ceramic one my Aunt made us years
ago.....so technically we will...this is the 2nd time we have used it for
our MAIN TREE. DS did get lights up along the front and 2 side windows and I
did get a lighted wreath by the entrance done so we do look a lil like
Christmas here :)

DD is flying herself in today---after standing in line for HOURS yesterday--
she still hadn't gotten thru the security check at LAX when her flight
left----so she is flying the Cirrus. It'll be sooooooooo good to see here
once again......it's been months!

Wishing you and yours a very Blessed Season, Merry Christmas and a wondrous
New Year
