I wrap as I go using a spring type clothespin to hold the wraps on the
clothesline while doing the sewing- alternating with wrapping then
stitching. Are you wrapping it all then stitching? I think that would be
much more difficult. Also, I found it is *much* easier with a narrower
strip of fabric. I did my first one with about 1.25 in. (thinking it would
go faster- not) and then the next few with .75 in. The subsequent bowls
went so much easier after the first one with the wider strips.
