Checked my entry in the above mentioned contest (entry #1079) and it
has me listed as Bronwyn Ferrier, Alabama instead of Australia! When I
filled in the online entry form, I had difficulty in getting it to
accept Australia as a country instead of a US state. Have just
emailed them to see if they can correct the page. Have to laugh. Me,
an Alabamanan?
Interesting, there didnt seem to be any other non-US entries. May be
they gave up as I nearly did.

You remind me of the time the Olympics were in Atlanta. Someone in New
Mexico was trying to buy tickets. For those of you who were not exposed to
3rd grade geography in the United States, "New" Mexico is one of those over
by Utah and maybe Arizona. (It's been a long time since I was in the 3rd
grade.)
And (!) the person in charge of handling ticket reservations in Atlanta
refused the request for tickets to be sent to New Mexico. She demanded that
the request be made to the international sales office. No persuasion and no
calling back in hopes of getting a different answer would work.
New Mexico is a foreign country if you work in Atlanta. The same person
must be receiving entries in the quilt competition. Not to worry. Alabama
and Australia are both in the south - all though you do take your South a
bit more seriously than we do. Polly

Right Polly, I just haaavvve to taaallllk reaaalllll sllllowwwww LOL
I emailed AQS and they have me as Australian in their paperwork (so
that's a start) and they'll try to get the web page changed. Bronnie
