Hello all - passing a quilty charitable opportunity on to you.
As you know the super-huge-gantic Houston quilt show is fast
approaching (the very beginning of November). At the show there will
be a 60 foot long wall of more than 2500 donated fiber postcards (two
are mine!!!!). For every donation of $30 to the American Cancer
Society, quilt show patrons get to chose a donated fiber postcard to
take home. Now, for those of use that won't be there (drat!!!) a
woman that is a part of the organizational force behind this
charitable cause is willing to be a personal shopper for you. All you
have to do is mail her a check or money order that reaches her before
October 30th that is made out for $30 (or more) to the American
Cancer Society and she will pick out a postcard for you according to
your suggestions. I told her "Beautifully Fantastically Purple" for
mine. Your postcard(s) will be mailed to you early November (you need
not worry about postage...it is being taken care of...). And if you
are lucky enough to be GOING to Houston...make sure to visit "the
wall"!!!!!
If you are interested feel free to email me (quiltngryhndlady at
comcast dot net) and I will give you
Linda's contact info.
