I'm back. I've been lurking in the background since my step father
passed away. I didn't feel like sewing anything at all, and a bit too
sad to comment here, so I just read messages when I felt like it. I've
gotten back to sewing again so I thought I'd come out of hiding here
too.

Good to have you back. And it's good to know you're doing a bit better.
Grief has it's own time table--and you just have to ride it out best you
can.
Holler if we can help you thru it.
Butterfly (You still may have bumpy days so come and just read....but do
come visit. Found that helped me the most when I lost my folks)

come back to us even while you're still hurting. I hope you find

Welcome back Debra!
You said you were back to sewing again - so what'cha workin on?
I've got strips cut to work on stitching into several scrap quilts. The last
few mornings here have been pretty frosty and now I'm starting to think
about Christmas sewing!
When my 2nd DH passed away 7 yrs ago, I found I tended to avoid the "normal
to me things". It felt very odd to be doing "normal" things. That included
sewing! Thankfully, I HAD to go to work so I couldn't become a complete
recluse, and out of boredom I started searching for other things that I
might be interested in. That search led me to DH#3 and together we have
developed all kinds of new interests, and I have finally come back to
sewing/quilting.
Sewing has always been a part of my life, even at the times that I wasn't
actually doing any, it's always in the back of the mind. This group has
allowed me to live vicariously thru all of their quilty happenings, and I
have been storing up ideas, links to great info and web sites, and many just
wonderful quilty feelings.
I believe the actual quilting bug is now back in full force. Now I'm
learning how to fit my quilty time into an already hectic schedule - but I'm
doing it! (grin).
Hang in there! You will always miss him, but the pain gets less and the
memories get better.
