Hello All

Wouldn't you know it. I thought that everything on the quilt was done, the
house was cleaned, the kabobs were skewered, and we were waiting around for
the next three hours until everyone arrived. Ack! No hanging sleeve on the
back of the quilt when I went to wrap it. In to the sewing room, no chair
to sit in since it was out at the table now, standing up sewing a sleeve,
iron it quick, throw the quilt out on the floor, line up and pin the sleeve
in place, madly hand sew for the next 45 minutes, refold, then wrap, whew,
two hours to go. So now it was really done, except for those that are out
of town in far-flung places like Japan and Mali that will be back this
summer to write notes on fabric that I will then sew on to the back for Deb
some time in August.

We had a really nice time with everyone really relaxing and lots of food and
cake and laughs. What more could you ask for. As with any of my
self-designed quilts, I always seem to have a vision in my head and what
evolves comes out completely different. Overall I'm pleased but aren't we
often our worst critics. So, here's the link. I know that there are a few
dead links here and there. Not quite sure how to fix them since Bert has
been handling most of this lately. Enjoy.

Every one of your quilts is so special Steven. I look forward to seeing
each one. This one is as expected, beautiful. I am sure Deb will enjoy
it. How great it is to be so appreciated.
Thanks for sharing all the photos.

What a remarkable quilt.
A collection of little beauties. Deb is going to be able to look at
this for years and find treasures; remembering her friends and so many
years of teaching.
(The pictures are great, too).

Thanks for sharing this gift with us.
