I have started to sew the blocks of last year's European block swap
together.
I was sewing happily along, pleased with those beautiful blocks I got,
when I realized the quilt will be too short. As if I couldn't have
noticed earlier <sigh>. 4 rows are finished , 3 of them are sewn
together, now what should I do ? I need a 5th row or something else.
Enlarging the top and bottom borders won't look good.
I suppose it will take a bit longer to finish this top, than I thought
:-)

Could you put a wide strip at the top and bottom before the borders and
put an applique viney stem with flowers along them. Perhaps one starting
from the left and one from the right, meeting and entwining in the middle?

Thanks Sally,
I'm still thinking about it. I'm not sure :-)
Looks like I have always problems with the size of my quilts <g>

Could you take the rows apart and put a wider sashing between them? In
addition to wide borders?

I could do that, but I don't want to.
I put a photo on my webpage under new, you can easily see, why.
Where the sashing meets, there are stars. I don't know if this sort of
sashing has a name, but I've seen it often and always wanted to do it.
If I would take it apart, all the work with those tiny triangles would
have been in vain :-)
