If you still read us:
On our adventures, I found *ONE* small cup/saucer. for/of Montana: )
None in WA, so I got a 6" plate with the Space Needle on it. OR, a small
cup/saucer with roses and a butterfly for a handle, Rose shaped key chain
and a bell with a Salmon for the handle and the emblem was of Mt Hood and it
rings!
Soooooooooooooo, I'm still 'searching' for the elusive WA and OR cup/saucer
set. Didn't even find any in the 4 antiques stores we went in..altho I did
find the small porcelain basket vase with violets on it for DD violet
dishes..now to find a nakin holder with them on it : )

Butterfly ( just letting you know I haven't forgotten you)

The bottom of the sugar bowl (I have roses in the vase today) has this
marking on it:
WUNSIEDEL BAVARIA PORCZELLAN GERMANY It has a shield under the first word
with a "R" in the middle the 'w' word above that and a crown above that.
Guess I could look up that wording (All in caps on the bottom of it)

Now you have my curiosity piqued.
BUT I let you hunt for me tonight.
Butterfly (Whoooo-hoo, I may have my 'requests filled by the end of the
month)

Look down at the bottom of the page under Wunsiedel.
Apparently made by the Retsch factory in Wunsiedel, which is a town in
northern Bavaria. Lots of glass and ceramics made in the region -they
even advertise a "porcelain route".

We had dinner with some folks from Germany last week and found out
that the Hummel factory is shutting down, going out of business. One
of the young women had worked there, she was terminated in April, it
was her first and only job. Her husband says that a lot of European
companies are in a slump, it's not just the USA.
