A few weeks ago I was making a bunch of tablerunners using June Tailor
fusible batting. On one of them there was a long line of glue and 2 dots of
hard glue that came through to the front of the runner. I washed it 5
different times in cold water as in their directions---in between soaking
the spots in Goo Gone (once for 3 hours). The glue still wouldn't come out.
I took the remaining batting back to Joann's and they gave me a full refund,
even though there was just a little of the queen size bat left. They got my
phone number----a few days later someone from June Tailor called me. They
had me send the runner to them and called me when it arrived. They called
again and had had a dry cleaner get the glue out, and wanted to give me
something for all the trouble. They're going to re-imburse the postage for
sending it to them, plus 2 packs of printer fabric----I have most of their
rulers, so didn't need more. I call this very good customer service!!!!
She said it's already been shipped back

Thanks for the report, Gen. I love to hear about happy endings to quilting
problems.

Ditto what Pat said. I sometimes hesitate over brands, but this is
good to know. Also, it's good to be reminded to take things back and
let them know something went wrong, not just throw the thing away and
swear off the brand for good.

With all of the bad things we hear about JoAnn's, it's nice to hear
something good! And I'm just tickled to hear that June Tailor came
through for you, not just reimbursing you for your trouble, but actually
fixing the problem! :)
