In a few posts recently, I've noted reference to green band needles. I am
probably not the only one not familiar with those needles. So, what's up
with green band needles?

My Schmetz machine 'quilting needles' have a green band on them.
I tend to use denim needles more than the quilting ones though.

When you get too old to read, you can still see colors. It's just plain old
quilting needles with a green band just below the shank, made by Schmetz.
We've been able to find them in a size 90 and also a size 70. I love the
70, neighbor loves the 90, seldom use anything else unless forced to hem
jeans for somebody I love a whole lot. Polly

You have to love them a WHOLE LOT!
Just found out yesterday that my Sis IRONS their jeans!
Butterfly (you coulda knocked me over with a feather cause she HATED to iron
when she was growing up--it usually was MY job--I didn't mind cause my Dad
would say that he could tell when I did it--he wasn't one to give
compliments very often)

I decided long ago that if I loved someone enough to hem their jeans, I
loved them enough to teach them how to hem their own jeans. Same goes for
ironing. :)
