WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Nel! Biggest congrats on your wins!

Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.

Not only that, I came second, too. Out of a class of about ten, the
blue-and-white got the First prize and the Hilton of Cadboll got the
Second prize.

I am ridiculously proud of my little self. I am all cheesy grins and
wriggles.

I know it's only a little local Craft Show, not a dedicated Quilting
Expo, but I still hardly dared think I was good enough.

I am particularly pleased that the other entered quilts were of a good
calibre too. It really feel like I have done something good. I went
to the Preview and Prizegiving this evening and I was presented with
my prizes: £40. Like, wow! Mega-bucks! More than I have ever won in
my life. But more than the money, I know that my quilts will be on
show with an orange flash for all to see over the long weekend. My
heart is singing.

All that work seems now to be worthwhile and my decision to unpick and
redo the centre of the Hilton justified. Thanks to all for your
encouragement. This means a great deal to me and my rather fragile
self-esteem.

Oh, and I did the 'right thing' and acknowledged the pattern's
pedigree.

Congratulations! Enjoy the accolades.
I just found out this morning I have won the Challenge award at the
local agricultural show, home & crafts section with my butterfly
wallhanging (some of you have seen it on my webshots page). Woo hoo
too!
Now I have to decide whether to go to the Show and see the blue
rosette. Parking is *so* difficult there, I had not planned to
attend. Plus, the weather is fine and hot (unusual for late winter)
so the crowds will be huge.
Cheers
Bronnie

Oh, well done!

Go early in the day, beat the rush, but do go.

Well done to you, too, Bronnie!
I love it when friends have successes. Happy feelings all round.
Whether you manage to go to the show or not, you know that you have a
little winner!

Thanks, everyone, for the happy dancing!

There are photos of both quilts at
http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/ff191/sartorresartus,
except the white one now has a simpler centre medallion. I haven't
taken new photos of that one, yet.
