Next week I'm going to take my first "workshop" offered with the local
guild! I hope it's not way too advanced for me but I figure it will
be a great opportunity and it sounds really fun - it's with Jean
Biddick and called "mosiac tile quilts". I've never done anything
with a guild - it seems most of their activities are during weekdays
and I work Mon-Thurs (subbed out a Friday for Thursday to take the
workshop). New people, new quilting...fun and more fun...

Has anyone here done mosiac-style quilting? It looks very complicated
and pretty to me :) If nothing else I'll take lots of notes that I'll
understand some day!! If I actually succeed in making anything I'm
not ashamed of I'll post a pic!

Good luck Steph and enjoy.I'm sure you will manage it with help from the
instructor. I hope to see your picture too!!

That's great that you can make it to the workshop. National teachers
are pretty good at gearing their classes to all levels so I'm sure
you'll be fine.

What guild do you belong to?

Hi Marcella,

That's good to hear!! I hope I can follow along okay.

I don't belong to the guild - I actually just found them on-line -
they let you attend the workshop even if you're not a member. It's
the Peninsula Quilters Guild. This will be a great opportunity to meet
some members and see what it's all about!

Well, I'll see you there! I'm a member and it looks like I can go
because son will still be in school.
