Marlys -- mine (Comcast) stopped a year ago! I use news.albasani.net though
Windows Mail (previously on Outlook Express).

It has been GREAT! Easy to use -- easy to set up and FREE!!!!

Check it out before you fade away!

Thanx Kate. Going to try it. I can get it through my Windows Mail acct?
That's cool.
Will give it a try, although I'm not sure what it is that I'm going to be
trying. HeeHee!

hey marley,
there is more than one way to skin a cat.
as well as Kates access thru news.albasani.net
i have two other servers added to my outlook express,
in case one is acting silly,
i can usually pick up the traffic on the other one.

news.aioe.org
eternal-september.org

the second one you have to register online to access
but both are read thru outlooke express
and iirc can be added to any windows mail reader.
for each acct you have to
click tools/accounts/mail tab
click on add, put in the server as written above.
i use a bogus email addy and return addy on both accts so
my email addy can not be harvested if anyones computer wants to try it.
as long as the part after @ is totally bogus you're good to go.
then hit apply/ok/whatever it shows.
they should then show up on the left hand menu of your email reader under
the inbox, outbox, sent etc.
if you get stuck holler and i'll try for better instructions.
oh yea, link for eternal-sept is
http://www.eternal-september.org/
lots of info on there to set up the computer too.
keep in mind you'll again have to download the full list of ngs on each of
those two servers, tho doesnt really take that long. then subscribe (on the
email reader) to the ngs you want to read.
easy peasy really, just give it a go and holler if you get stuck.

I get it via nntp.aioe.org since Comcast dropped usenet. Does it work
with the "news" address too?
