Friend sent me this: In a recent issue of MSUToday (Michigan State
University) there was an article about quilts and computers and what
MSU has achieved when it comes to organizing digital library
collections. The Quilt Index is a collection built on Project Builder
software. It was begun with a grant from the National Endowment for
the Humanities and the Institute for Museum and Library Services
(IMLS) and is rapidly becoming the primary digital repository for
information on quilts, quilt makers, and quilt making.
The link in case you aren't already aware of it: www.quiltindex.org
The Quilt Index is a joint project of MSU and the Alliance for
American Quilts and the QIndex has won four large national grants
totaling nearly $2MM.

Roberta, I just sat here for almost two hours staring and looking and
imagining the lives of the women who made those quilts. And I'm only
up to page 50 on the links. Oh my. What a treasure trove of
inspiration and wonder. Thank you for posting.
