A few years back I made a pile of bags for craft fairs and the like. I
also made baby changing bags. They consist of a bag big enough for a
well filled lever arch file with three bottle pockets on one side and a
mat pocket containing a small waterproof baby changing mat on the other.
They are lined bags made out of sturdy curtain fabric. I have several
left. Would they be of use to the relief effort? If so, where could I
send them? I'd love to fill them for the recipients, but this would
make them too bulky to post. The baby bags are all my own design, and
quite sturdy. They close at the top with a loop and a toggle.

Kate, Just spent a few minutes cruising around your web site. WOW,
you are an amazing seamstress!!! Loved the multi colored wedding with
16 bridesmaids.

CHOCOLATE DOESN'T MAKE THE WORLD GO AROUND. BUT IT CERTAINLY MAKES THE
TRIP WORTHWHILE.

They were fun! :) The wedding was rather wet... I tipped half a
gallon of water out of the brim of my hat at one point!

I'm just finishing off 5 more red ones...

Kate,

Your generousity is overwhelming. I am
too distant from the Katrina strike
distance to suggest a place to which you
might post them; I'm sure someone else
will provide that information.

You were also good for a little chuckle.
"...filled lever arch file" is not
something some of us can only image. I
will spend my day with a smile on my
face doing just that. Please don't
spoil my day by explaining! LOL!

Thank you for your help to us turncoats.

Susan

Hehe! I spent so much time as a student and a teacher with bags that
were not quite big enough for all my books and files that when I came to
design my own I decided that the A4 Lever Arch File was the perfect size
for a bag! For the desperately curious, one of these will fit in
easily, with room to spare for a pencil case, a couple of books, and a
school class register...
