My first block

in the quilting gallery you can see my first attempt at piecing, i
finished one block and have one more that i have ready. i learned from
the first one, it is a bit off, and that is good for now. it is getting
close to my bedtime and i have house things i need to do still :D

I'd say it looks pretty lovely! And checks/plaids/etc are
really hard to work with in a square like that. Nicely
done. :) And your other projects are beautiful too -- I
would LOVE to have the patience to tat.

thanks you both

I taught myself the tatting and I am still not really good at making more
than one circle at a time. mostly it i do that when my mind is driving me
crazy and i need to slow it down, i think it works because it takes so
much concentration to keep track of what i am doing.

well done!! My MIL showed me how to tat once. I asked her to slow down and
she said she was tatting slow. I never did learn

Congrats! Your first block is perfectly wonderful. :-) I'd say you've
taken the plunge and are well on your way.
