It started off with a drive to the quilt show with two of my quilting
buddies. The show was in Oaks, PA and was a good one. It used to be held
in Fort Washington but they sold that building and had to find another venue
for it. I was fairly good and didn't buy any fabric, but I did purchase
several patterns, bought three packs of various colors of pre-wound bobbins,
and found a vendor giving out free 6 inch rulers. That gave me more time to
get inspired by the beautiful quilts on display. So today, I cleaned by
quilting room so I can finally get to routine quilting again. DH is away
all week so I had the whole joint to myself - oh, I had to share it with my
Kirby dog and my Gypsy cat but they are not nearly as high maintenance as
the DH. I do miss him though - I had to cook my own dinner.
Last night I had the first experience of having two of my grand children
stay with me - overnight! This is a 5 year old and a 5 week old. I forgot
what it was like getting up for midnight feedings. My DGS went to bed on
the dot of 8:30 without a lick of problems. The baby was changed and fed
and in her little jammies by the same time. I didn't hear a peep from her
until 1:30 the next morning. Again she was changed and fed and I didn't
hear from her until almost 6 am. Not too bad, huh? Who knew my DD would
get two babies with the easy button! Of course I jumped at every little
noise the baby made - she's a noisy sleeper or a very active dreamer. And
she smiles in the sleep so she is having a grand time somewhere! What an
angel - both of them. But they slept good - me, not so much! Kept watching
them sleep. When DD picked them up, she thanked me for the best gift I
could give her - an uninterrupted night's sleep, the best she's had in
months!

A quilt show and a sleepover with grandchildren all in one weekend? It just
doesn't get any better than that, does it? So glad you had a wonderful time.

Sounds like two wonderful grandbabies!
